November 7 & 9 Games

      In weekend action the East team managed 2 victories, handing the West team its second loss of the season and then beating the North team on Sunday. In the 4-4 tie between the North and South, Matt Chartran and Curran Forgue scored late goals to bring the North back. Travis Ritter had 2 goals for the South team. Chad Hollenshade had a goal and assist for the South club. In the Saturday nitecap the East was led by Niko Masotta's 5 points and Cam Hatch's 4 points to overcome the West who were led by Joe Tebano's 4 points, by a 10-5 margin.

On Sunday, the West bounced back with a 4-0 whitewashing of the South. Rasmus Reijola recorded the shutout. Fred Farmer led with 2 goals for the winners. The late game on Sunday, saw the East trounce the North 7-3 despite a hat trick from Greg Kreisinger. Peter Stratton had 2 goals for the winners and Cam Hatch had 2 assists.

Final weekend action will take place on Saturday November 14 with the South vs East at 6:30 PM and the North vs the West at 8:15 PM.


October 24 & 25 Games

The games of 10/24 and 10/25 at Trinity College saw the West team continue to win as they swept both weekend games. They opened the weekend with a 5-1 win over the North with J.D. Vermette and Dave Dupuis each scoring twice. Chad Hollenshade had the other goal for the winners. The East team dominated the South by a 7-1 margin with Colin Fritz with two goals and Adam Patel and Cam Hatch with a goal and assist apiece. Chris Lembo had the lone South goal.

In Sunday action, the West team rode a 5 point effort (3 goals and 2 assists) from Mike Blair to shut out the East by a 6-0 score. The South team managed to bounce back with a tight 4-2 win over the North. Paul Mimms and Ian Fleming each had a goal and an assist, while Chris Lembo and Dave Dupuis had the other goals.


October 17 & 18 Games

The weekend action on October 17 and 18 found the South squeaking by the North 5-3.  Greg Gozzo and Neil Fachini had a goal and assist for the winners.  In the nitecap, the West continued to click with a 5-2 win over the East.  Morgan Mullen and George Welles each had a goal and an assist for the winners.  Dylan Shamburger contributed two assists.  In Sunday action, the West exploded for nine goals to sink the South by a 9-3 margin.  Sean McGovern, Kevin Morris and Connor Cunningham led the way with three points apiece.  The 3:00 P.M. Sunday game saw the North get back on the winning side with a 5-1 victory over the East.  Dave Seidel, with a goal and two assists, and Nick Bingaman with two goals and one assist led the North scoring.  Defenseman, Mike Flynn, chipped in offensively with a goal and an assist.

            There was a plethora of college coaches and NHL scouts present this weekend with Yale, Air Force, Quinnipiac, Washington Capitals and L.A. Kings among those present.


October 10 & 11 Games

The first game of the weekend on Saturday  saw the North come back with a late goal by Mike Holland to tie the East 5-5. Kyle Armstrong and Dan Meiselman had two goals apiece for the East. In the second game, defenseman Chad Hollenshade had two goals to lead the West to a 4-3 win over the South. Sean McGovern had two assists for the winners.

On Sunday, the North pulled its goalie with very little time remaining in trying to break a 4-4 tie which backfired when West forward, Fred Farmer fired a clearing pass into the empty net to gain an improbable 5-4 win for the West. Will Einstein had two goals for the West with Morgan Mullen and Dylan Shamburger scoring the other goals. Nick Bingaman, Alex Cote, Greg Kreisinger, and Alex Bonito scored for the hard-luck North team. The second Sunday game resulted in a 4-2 win for the East over the South. An empty net goal by Colin Fritz secured the win for the East who had goals from Jim Gabrione, Connor McBride, and Kevin Morris. Paul Mimms and Greg Gozzo had the goals for the South. Both games were high quality fast-paced contests.


October 3 & 4 Games

Weekend action on October 3 and 4 at the Fall Prep Elite League saw the opening game end in a 2-2 tie between the South and the East. 
Nick Angelo and Paul Mimms scored for the South while Mike Blair and Connor McBride tallied for the East.  The Saturday nitecap had the West trounce the North 5-1.  Morgan Mullen and Dave Dupuis each had a pair of goals for the winners.  Will Einstein had 3 assists for the West.

            Sunday action showed the West team nipping the East despite two goals from Mike Martinez.  Leading the West was Dave Dupuis with two goals.  The final game on Sunday featured a tight 3-1 win for the South over the North.  Paul Mimms had a goal and assist for the South while Ian Fleming had the winning goal.  Dave Seidel scored the Norths lone goal.

            College coaches from Harvard, Brown, Nebraska-Omaha, Vermont and U-Conn were some of the colleges in attendance at this weekend's games.

 


September 26 & 27 Games

        The Western New England Fall Prep League opened the first weekend of play with 4 fast-paced games at Trinity College in Hartford, CT.

        Saturday evening the North team defeated the South by an 8-4 margin with Curran Forgue and Mike Pereira leading the way.  Mark Maraschiello recorded a hat trick for the South.  The second game that evening was a thrilling 4-4 tie between East and West.  The west came back to tie after trailing 4-1 with goals from Vermette, Dupuis and Mullen.  Peter Stratton had a pair for the East.

        Sunday afternoon saw the East gain a 5-1 win over the North.  Shayne Gostisbehere led the way with two goals.  The first game on Sunday was a tight 5-3 win for the South with Paul Mimms notching two goals.  Chris Lembo had a goal and two assists for the winners while Mike Blair had 2 assists for the west.  Alex Vazzano starred in the goal for the South with 34 saves.
